Boston Brown Bread

1 cup of butter
1/3 cup of honey
1/3 cup of molasses
1 cup of whole wheat flour
1 cup of rye flour
1 cup of yellow cornmeal
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of buttermilk
2 cups of coarsely chopped golden delicious apples

Cream butter, honey and molasses. Combine flours, cornmeal, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in apples. Spoon into 2 greased 8 x 4 x 3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350ºF. for 1 hour. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing. Serve warm. Makes 2 rolls.
