Champagne Punch

Directions: Prepare a day before using: Wash the grapes, place on a small tray, put them in the freezer. Several hours before serving, mix sauterne, Cognac, and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate. To serve: Pour sauterne mixture into a punch bowl. Stir in the soda. Add the frozen grapes and strawberries. Pour in champagne into punch just before serving.

1 Large bunch seedless grapes (about 1 ½ pound)
2 Cups of sauterne
1 Cup of Cognac
2 Tablespoons of sugar
14 Ounces of club soda, chilled
6 Strawberries, hulls on
4/5 Quart of champagne (1 bottle, chilled)  

During the Christmas holidays, there's always room for another festive punch. Keep this away from the children, though. v
