Dill Okra

2 cups of water
1/4 cup of salt
6 cups of vinegar
small okra to fill 7 pint jars
3 1/2 teaspoons of dill seed or fresh dill
7 medium sized garlic pods
7 green or red hot peppers

Bring water, salt, and vinegar to a boil. Meanwhile, scald 7 pint jars. Half fill each jar with small okra. To each jar add 1/2 teaspoon of dill seed, 1 pod garlic, cut in 3 pieces and 1 red or green hot pepper. Finish filling jars with okra. Pour boiling hot liquid almost to top of each jar. Seal while hot. Cool and seal more tightly. Let cure about 3 months before using.
