Sunday Cornbread 1

1 cup of self rising cornmeal
1/2 cup of self rising flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
3 tablespoons of butter
1 1/4 cups of buttermilk
2 eggs, lightly beaten  

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400ºF. In a bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour and sugar. Melt, but do not brown, the butter in an 8 x 8 inch baking pan in the oven. Combine the melted butter, buttermilk and eggs. Pour them into the dry ingredients and mix well. Spread evenly in the baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until brown. Serves 6
