Baked Beans 1

2 cans of pork and beans, drained
1 can of tomato paste
¼ cup finely chopped onion
½ cup of ketchup
2 tablespoons of molasses
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
2 strips of bacon  


Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400ºF. Mix all of the ingredients except the bacon in a bowl. Stir until well mixed. Pour the beans into a baking pan and lay the bacon across the top. Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes.

7/5/07 I made this recipe yesterday for our cook out. It was the best baked beans I had in years, I did add an extra squeeze of molasses and a few drops of Liquid smoke, thanks for the recipe! 

7/5/10 *** Great, I made this for our cookout, like the other person I added a dash of liquid smoke and an extra strip of bacon, placed them lattice style, friends and co workers raved. I used Bush's Homestyle Bacon Beans
